I’m Nicolai, the photographer and filmmaker behind The Pursuit of Summits. I create photography and film for brands and events, combining my interests in sport, nature and visual storytelling. What draws me to a project is the chance to capture its character—whether that comes from the people, the surroundings or the moments unfolding in front of the camera.

As a self-taught creative, I’ve developed a style shaped by simplicity and an appreciation for the natural and imperfect. Wabi-sabi is a personal inspiration: a reminder that an image doesn’t need to be perfectly polished to be meaningful. From the concentration on an athlete’s face to the quiet of an open landscape, I look for details that convey what being there felt like.
